Job summary

Hugh Baird College in Bootle is seeking a proactive Business Development Coordinator to join our Outstanding team. You will manage inbound leads, coordinate enrolments and ensure apprenticeship documentation is completed accurately and compliantly.

Ideal candidates have deep knowledge of apprenticeship funding rules, the DAS, and regional employer grants, plus experience in business development or employer engagement within FE or apprenticeships.

Qualifications

• Experience in business development, sales, or employer engagement within FE or apprenticeships.
• Strong organisational and administrative skills.
• Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
• Knowledge of apprenticeship funding rules and compliance.
• Highly organised, proactive, and resilient.
• A collaborative team player with a positive attitude.

Responsibilities

• Respond to employer and learner enquiries with professionalism and accuracy.
• Coordinate enrolments, inductions, and eligibility checks.
• Maintain accurate records to support ESFA and audit requirements.
• Promote apprenticeship and skills programmes to new and existing employers.
• Support employer engagement events and marketing activities.
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless learner onboarding.
