Smith Bros (Caer Conan) Wholesale Ltd in Doncaster is offering an apprenticeship as a warehouse operative (Level 2). You will join a busy distribution team handling picking, packing, goods inwards and loading with RF scanners.

The programme provides career progression steps including forklift training and an apprenticeship for warehouse supervisor Level 3, with Monday to Friday daytime hours.

Qualifications

• Must have GCSE Maths and English (C/4 or above).
• Good communication and attention to detail.
• Ability to work to tight deadlines and in a team.

Responsibilities

• Pick/pack with RF barcode scanners.
• Work with stock locating and goods inwards/outwards.
• Support daily warehouse activities and housekeeping.

Introduction

Working in a busy DC Electrical Wholesale Distribution Warehouse ensuring all daily objectives are achieved with strong picking / packing accuracy and high customer service approach whilst working towards a level 2 qualification.

Your main duties will include:

• Working to tight deadlines
• Picking / packing with RF bar code scanners
• Working in accordance with company polices & procedures
• Daily involvement in all warehouse activities including: Order picking / packing, goods inwards, stock locating, loading and unloading operations, general housekeeping
• Promoting the ‘Right First Time’ culture
• Working withing ISO 9001, 14001 and 45001 policies

Training Outcome

We would aim to support the right candidate moving forward, including:

• Career progression with fully supported Fork Lift Truck training
• Apprenticeship for warehouse supervisor Level 3
