Job summary

Group 1 Automotive Ipswich is recruiting an Apprentice Vehicle Technician. You will learn hands-on servicing and maintenance on our vehicles, earning while you train, and gaining formal qualifications in a supportive team.

You’ll be part of a friendly, welcoming workforce that emphasises customer service, teamwork and continuous development. The role includes 33 days’ leave equity, pension plans, and employee discounts as part of our benefits.

Qualifications

Punctual and strong timekeeping skills.
Able to work well under pressure and meet targets.
Excellent teamwork and communication abilities.
GCSEs in Math, English and Science are required or equivalent.

Responsibilities

Servicing vehicles and carrying out checks and maintenance per brand guidelines.
Identify, repair and replace faulty components and parts.
Liaise with Service Advisors about required repairs or vehicle work.
Maintain accurate service and repair records.
Demonstrate tidiness in the work bay and surrounding area.
Consider customer impact in all vehicle activities.
Meet the apprenticeship academic requirements with the provider and track progress.
