Job summary

ITP is offering an Apprentice Telecoms Field Engineer Level 4 cellular network apprenticeship in the Midlands with UK-wide travel. You will gain hands-on experience across delivery, installation, commissioning and integration of BTS equipment, while training with Ericsson and Nokia networks.

Working 40 hours with training, you will learn DICI disciplines, rigging, and transmission migration, supported by a team and provided with a company vehicle, PPE, laptop and phone.

Qualifications

• Enthusiastic about telecommunications, engineering and technology.
• Full UK driving licence required.
• GCSEs (or equivalent) in Maths and English.
• Willingness to travel to different sites and work outdoors.

Responsibilities

• Delivery: assist with equipment deliveries and site prep.
• Installation: support installation of BTS equipment and cabinets.
• Commissioning: assist checks, configuration and fault identification.
• Integration: help integrate equipment into the mobile network.
• Rigging: assist with antenna installations and cabling on structures.
• Transmission Migration: support links swaps and testing.
• Cabling: learn to route and test power, fibre and RF cables.
• Safety: follow site rules and risk assessments.
• Apprenticeship learning: attend training and complete assessments.
