Job summary

Vertu BMW Yeovil is recruiting an Apprentice Light Vehicle Technician to train with BMW while earning as you learn. You'll work in a busy workshop, gaining hands-on experience and progressing through a Level 3 Automotive Repair qualification at the manufacturer’s training centre.

You'll be supported by skilled BMW technicians, with block-release training and opportunities for long-term career progression within Vertu Motors, the UK's leading motor retailer.

Qualifications

• GCSE Maths and English at grade 4/C or above (or equivalent).
• One additional GCSE at grade 4/C or above (or equivalent).
• Interest in automotive industry and eagerness to learn.

Responsibilities

About the Role

As an Apprentice Light Vehicle Technician, you'll work alongside experienced technicians, learning how to inspect, service, maintain and repair a wide range of BMW passenger vehicles to the highest standards.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Carrying out vehicle servicing and maintenance tasks
• Performing vehicle health checks and visual inspections
• Assisting with repairs and diagnostic work
• Completing workshop documentation accurately
• Learning from experienced System Technicians on complex repairs and fault finding
• Delivering exceptional workmanship and customer service that reflects the BMW brand

Entry Requirements

You will need:

• GCSE Maths and English (Grade 4/C or above, or equivalent)

Training and Development

• Complete a manufacturer-accredited qualification up to Level 3 in Automotive Repair

• Develop the skills and knowledge needed to become a qualified technician
