Job summary

Vertu BMW Yeovil is seeking an enthusiastic apprentice Light Vehicle Technician to join its busy BMW workshop. You will learn on-the-job while working towards a nationally recognised Level 3 Automotive Repair qualification.

You will gain hands-on experience, complete training modules, and develop practical skills under expert BMW technicians, with a structured apprenticeship pathway and recognised career progression.

Qualifications

• GCSE Maths and English at Grade 4/C or above (or equivalent).
• One additional GCSE at Grade 4/C or above (or equivalent).
• Enthusiasm for cars and learning in a BMW workshop environment.
• Willingness to train toward Level 3 in Automotive Repair with manufacturer-led instruction.

Responsibilities

• Support servicing and maintenance tasks on BMW passenger vehicles.
• Assist with repairs and diagnostic work under supervision.
• Complete workshop documentation accurately.
• Learn from experienced technicians and develop practical skills.

About the Role

As an Apprentice Light Vehicle Technician, you'll work alongside experienced technicians, learning how to inspect, service, maintain and repair a wide range of BMW passenger vehicles to the highest standards.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Carrying out vehicle servicing and maintenance tasks
• Performing vehicle health checks and visual inspections
• Assisting with repairs and diagnostic work
• Completing workshop documentation accurately
• Learning from experienced System Technicians on complex repairs and fault finding
• Delivering exceptional workmanship and customer service that reflects the BMW brand

Entry Requirements

You will need:

Training and Development

• Develop the skills and knowledge needed to become a qualified technician
