Job summary

Vertu BMW Teesside is seeking an Apprentice Light Vehicle Technician to join our busy workshop. This is a fantastic opportunity for an outgoing, car-enthusiast who wants to start a career with a leading automotive retailer.

You will learn through a Manufacturer accredited Level 3 qualification in Automotive Repair, working on a range of passenger cars and gaining hands-on experience in maintenance, diagnostics, and documentation while supporting the team in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Must have GCSEs Maths/English and one other subject at grade 4/C or above.
• A passion for cars and willingness to learn in a fast-paced workshop environment.
• Strong teamwork, attention to detail and a positive, motivated attitude.

Responsibilities

• Carry out maintenance and repair work on passenger cars.
• Perform visual inspections and complete relevant documentation.
• Collaborate with System Technicians on diagnostic and repair tasks.

The successful applicant will get the amazing opportunity to develop their own skills in all aspects of vehicle maintenance and repair work, whilst working on some fantastic cars!

You will be working in a Passenger Car workshop within a busy team environment, constantly representing the brand and its values by exceeding our customers expectations and delivering an unparalleled level of service and quality.

What is the role of an Apprentice Light Vehicle Technician?

You will be carrying out maintenance and repair work, visual inspections to customer vehicles. This will include completion of relevant documentation and working with System Technicians on more complex and extensive diagnostic and repair tasks.

We are looking for enthusiastic individuals to join our team. You must have a passion and interest in the motor industry, be a team player, have meticulous attention to detail and a dedicated and motivated mentality.

What Qualifications do you need?

• You must have a GCSE or equivalent in Maths/English and one other (Grade 4/C or above)

What training will you receive?

• All of our apprentices undertake a Manufacturer accredited qualification up to a Level 3 in Automotive Repair.
• Our training is held at the relevant Manufacturer training center and will involve blocks of 1 weeks attendance per module. This will involve overnight stays.
