Job summary

Liverpool City Council is seeking an Apprentice Technical Compliance Officer - Empty Homes to support external inspections and compliance activities for vacant properties. The role involves planning inspections, gathering evidence, and preparing correspondence with property owners to enforce regulatory notices.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting regulatory inspections and evidence gathering.
• Ability to prepare letters and correspondence to property owners.
• Ability to attend meetings and inspections outside normal hours.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organise and carry out external inspections and assessments of a caseload.
• Undertake external inspections and visits for evidence gathering and checking compliance with formal notices.
• Prepare letters to property owners and others about vacant properties.
• Identify external housing faults and escalate for further investigation.
• Represent the service at meetings and attend off-hour inspections.
