Exeter City Council is offering a two-year Level 4 apprenticeship for an Apprentice Regulatory Compliance Officer in the Environmental Health & Licensing team. The role combines structured study with practical, on-the-job learning within a busy regulatory environment.

Job description

As an Apprentice Regulatory Compliance Officer, you will join our Licensing team and undertake a two-year Level 4 apprenticeship programme, combining structured learning with practical, on-the-job experience. During the apprenticeship, you will:

  • Learn about licensing legislation, policies, and regulatory requirements.
  • Support the delivery of licensing and regulatory compliance functions.
  • Assist with inspections, investigations, and enforcement activities where appropriate.
  • Work with businesses, residents, and partner agencies to support compliance.
  • Develop the knowledge, skills, and behaviours required to become a competent regulatory compliance professional.
  • Receive ongoing mentoring, supervision, and support from experienced colleagues throughout your training programme.
