Oakwood School, part of The Mercian Trust, is recruiting two apprentice teaching assistants to support pupils aged 3 to 15 with complex educational needs. The roles emphasise safeguarding, professional conduct and an inclusive approach to learning.

These Level 2 apprenticeships require commitment to high standards, with DBS checks and references as part of eligibility. Training and supervision will be provided within a supportive school environment.

Job description

Two apprentice teaching assistant posts at Oakwood School, a specialist provision for children and young people aged 3 to 15 with complex educational needs, within The Mercian Trust. The work centres on supporting pupils' learning in an inclusive, pupil-centred school, with a strong emphasis on safeguarding and professional conduct. The posts are Level 2 apprenticeships, and the school is commissioned for 267 places. Enhanced DBS checks are required and visa sponsorship is not available.
