Job summary

Stockingford Academy in Coventry is recruiting an apprentice SEN Teaching Assistant on a fixed-term contract equal to the apprenticeship duration, 37 hours per week term time plus five days.

You will support pupils with special educational needs while working toward the Level 3 Teaching Assistant Apprenticeship and engage in safeguarding training and local policies.

Commitment to safeguarding and promoting children's welfare is essential; visa sponsorship is not available.

Qualifications

• Eligibility includes Enhanced DBS and references.
• Must not be barred from regulated activity relating to children.
• Motivation to complete the apprenticeship qualification.

What the job involves

• Support pupils with special educational needs as a teaching assistant

• Know what to do when concerned about a child
• Help provide a safe environment and promote children's welfare
• Complete regular safeguarding and child protection training
• Familiarise yourself with KCSIE part 1 and local policies and procedures
