Job summary

RTX is recruiting an enthusiastic Apprentice Subcontract Analyst to join our Supply Chain team in the UK. You will study towards a nationally recognised Procurement and Supply Assistant apprenticeship and a Level 3 CIPS certificate, while gaining hands-on experience across purchasing, supplier onboarding, and subcontract management.

You will learn procurement processes, supplier relationship building, contract administration, and data analysis, with one day per week devoted to virtual learning.

Qualifications

• Five GCSEs (or equivalent) at grades 9-5 or A-C, including Maths and English.
• Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• A willingness to learn and develop new skills.
• Confidence using Microsoft Office applications, particularly Outlook, Excel, and Word.
• An analytical approach and interest in working with data.
• The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• A positive and proactive attitude.
• Previous procurement experience is not required. We are looking for potential, enthusiasm, and a desire to learn.

Responsibilities

• Supporting the creation and management of purchase orders and subcontract documentation.
• Assisting with supplier onboarding, due diligence checks, and supplier performance monitoring.
• Supporting quotation and tender activities, including supplier communications and data collection.
• Maintaining procurement systems, databases, and records to ensure data accuracy and compliance.
• Supporting contract administration and helping track supplier performance and delivery schedules.
• Producing reports and analysing procurement data to support decision‑making.
• Building effective working relationships with suppliers, colleagues, and key stakeholders across the business.
