Job summary

Superdrug is seeking an Apprentice Sales Assistant at our Wallington store. You will be at the heart of customer service, assisting shoppers and promoting Star Buys while helping keep the shop tidy and fully stocked.

Your training occurs in-store over 12 months, with no college days, culminating in a Retailer Level 2 Apprenticeship. Full-time hours, 39 per week, salary £9.95/hour, location in Wallington, Surrey.

Qualifications

• GCSE English and Maths at grade 4/C or equivalent.
• Not currently in education; available for full-time shifts.
• No Retail Apprenticeship completed previously.

Responsibilities

• Serve customers with a smile and in-store service.
• Keep the store clean, well-stocked and welcoming.
• Support store targets and learn Retailer Level 2 Apprenticeship during training.

As an Apprentice Sales Assistant at Superdrug, you'll be right at the heart of the action-serving customers with a smile, sharing our amazing Star Buys, and making sure everyone leaves feeling great!
You'll help keep the store looking its best and fully stocked, while playing a key role in smashing store targets.
It's a hands-on, fast-paced role that's never boring and packed with chances to learn. We see our Apprentice Sales Assistants as future Team Leaders, and we'll give you everything you need to grow-with brilliant training, and real opportunities to progress.
Your training will take place in-store over the first 12 months, so no college days and no homework! At the end of your training period, you will complete a discussion around your experiences and an observation of you performing your role. You will be supported throughout by your team and your tutor to achieve your Retailer Level 2 Apprenticeship

What you'll bring to the role:

A positive mindset & clear communication skills

Desire to learn and improve your knowledge/skills

Flexible in working hours and adaptable to change

You qualify if...

• You have a grade 4 / C GCSE (or equivalent) in English and maths (national 4's for Scotland)
• You are not currently in any form of education, and you are available for full time shifts
• You HAVEN'T completed a Retail Apprenticeship before
• You are eligible to work in the UK
• You are brand new to retail
