Job summary

Superdrug Stores in Cambridge is seeking an Apprentice Sales Assistant to be at the heart of the action, serving customers with a smile and sharing Star Buys.

You will help keep the store tidy and stocked, support the team to hit store targets, and progress through the Retailer Level 2 Apprenticeship with hands-on training in-store for the first year.

Qualifications

• GCSE English and Maths at grade 4/C (or equivalent).
• Available for full-time shifts and not in any education.
• HAVEN'T completed a Retail Apprenticeship before.
• Eligible to work in the UK.

Responsibilities

• Serve customers with a smile and promote Star Buys.
• Keep the store well stocked and looking its best.
• Contribute to achieving store targets and driving sales.
• Participate in in-store training for the Retailer Level 2 Apprenticeship.

As an Apprentice Sales Assistant at Superdrug, you'll be right at the heart of the action - serving customers with a smile, sharing our amazing Star Buys, and making sure everyone leaves feeling great!

You'll help keep the store looking its best and fully stocked, while playing a key role in smashing store targets.

It's a hands-on, fast-paced role that is never boring and packed with chances to learn. We see our Apprentice Sales Assistants as future Team Leaders, and we'll give you everything you need to grow - with brilliant training, and real opportunities to progress.

Your training will take place in-store over the first 12 months, so no college days and no homework! At the end of your training period, you will complete a discussion around your experiences and an observation of you performing your role. You will be supported throughout by your team and your tutor to achieve your Retailer Level 2 Apprenticeship.

What you'll bring to the role:

• A positive mindset & clear communication skills
• Passionate about health & beauty and customer service
• Desire to learn and improve your knowledge/skills
• Flexible in working hours and adaptable to change

You qualify if...

• You have a grade 4 / C GCSE (or equivalent) in English and maths (national 4’s for Scotland)
• You are not currently in any form of education, and you are available for full time shifts
• You HAVEN'T completed a Retail Apprenticeship before
• You are eligible to work in the UK
• You are brand new to retail
