Job summary

Waythrough is seeking an Apprentice Recovery Coordinator to join the Opiates Team at Forward Leeds in Leeds. The role supports individuals with problematic substance use and helps develop tailored recovery plans under supervision.

The apprenticeship includes Level 2 Adult Care qualification, with Maths/English Level 1 if required. A laptop will be provided to assist daily tasks and progression within the role.

Apprentice Recovery Coordinator - Opiates Team

Location: Forward Leeds, 3 Armley Road, Leeds, LS12 2LB

Working Hours: 37 hours Monday-Friday (including study time)

Contract Type: Fixed Term (15 month apprenticeship)

Salary: £20,875.40 per annum

About the role:

We are currently looking to build our Recovery Co-ordination team, with an exciting opportunity at Forward Leeds. Our team provides support for individuals who are experiencing problematic substance use.

As an Apprentice Recovery Coordinator, your duties will include:

  • You will be supported to build the skills and knowledge to be able to provide specialist, tailored support to enable service users to make positive changes.
  • You will work towards managing a caseload by creating, implementing, and reviewing recovery and treatment plans.
  • You will contribute towards reducing substance-related harm to individuals and the wider community.
  • You will work towards completing Level 2 apprenticeship in Adult Care with a local training provider. This will include achieving Level 1 in functional skills (Maths & English) if you haven't already.
About you:

You will have a passion for making a difference and fair chances for all should be at the core of everything you do. You will be empathic and understanding in nature.

As the role requires you to engage with study you must be willing to undertake a Level 2 apprenticeship in Adult Care with a local training provider. This will include achieving Level 1 in functional skills (Maths & English) if you haven't already.

A basic understanding of IT would be useful too as you will be using a laptop to help you carry out your job.

Waythrough recognises and values the support lived experience can offer individuals, this role encourages applicants who may have personal lived experience of alcohol/substance use and/or experience of accessing recovery services in support of alcohol/substance use/mental health issues. Community service and Volunteering will be taken into account.
