Job summary

Cheshire and Wirral Partnership NHS Foundation Trust is hosting an apprentice Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner role across multiple services. The post offers a 12‑month fixed term contract (permanent on completion subject to passing the course) and a 37.5 hour week with a salary of £28,392‑£31,157 per year (pro rata).

Qualifications

• Level 4 qualification or below.
• Understanding of anxiety and depression in primary care.
• Experience in health or social care with mental health problems.
• Ability to meet travel needs of the training.
• Willingness to complete academic components of the course.

Responsibilities

• Provide Step 2 guided self‑help low‑intensity interventions while undertaking studies.
• Support people with depression and anxiety disorders using CBT‑based self‑management interventions.
• Be supported by supervisors in clinical delivery and academic study.
• Work with diverse populations and use interpreters when necessary.
• Complete the training with the aim of securing a permanent PWP position.
