Job summary

Transense Technologies plc. offers an apprenticeship programme for an Apprentice Production Technician to gain hands-on experience with the Production team while studying for an Engineering operative (level 2) qualification at Abingdon and Witney College.

You will attend college two days a week and work Monday–Friday with 8am–4pm or 9am–5pm shifts, with the aim of eventually becoming a full-time Production Technician. Transport to site is advantageous.

Qualifications

• GCSE English and Maths required.
• Strong communication and IT skills.

• Interest in electronics and engineering.

Responsibilities

• Assembly & Electronics: learning and assisting in the assembly of SAW sensors and associated electronics.
• Testing & Verification: performing testing and electrical verification of sensor assemblies under direct supervision.
• Calibration Support: providing hands-on support for calibration and production testing as you learn SOPs.
• Lean Manufacturing: gaining understanding of Lean Manufacturing and assisting implementation.
• Quality Control: helping with inspection and acceptance of incoming product.
• Logistics: assisting with packaging and shipping of Transense Product.
• Cross-Training: assisting Translogik assembly to broaden manufacturing skill set.
• Process Innovation: shadowing team to develop new manufacturing processes.
• Continuous Improvement: observing and supporting to improve current processes.
