Job summary

GB Inspection Systems Limited invites applications for a Lean Manufacturing Operative apprenticeship. You will assemble, bond and solder small electronic components and related cables and connectors, learning to produce fine solder joints and follow precise instructions.

The two-year program through P.T.P. Training Limited offers hands-on training with progression to a full-time role and development of analytical, organisational and teamwork skills.

Qualifications

• GCSE English at grade 4/C or above is desired.
• GCSE Maths at grade 4/C or above is desired.

Responsibilities

• Learn rapidly and progress in the role.
• Demonstrate good manual dexterity and fine soldering skills.
• Assemble, bond and solder very small components.
• Glue/bond tiny parts with precision.
• Maintain high standards and attention to detail in all tasks.
• Follow written and verbal instructions accurately.
• Be computer literate and able to work solo or in a team.

Introduction

The work is very intricate and is carried out in a modern, pleasant working environment. The apprenticeship will lead you into assembling, bonding and soldering electronic and other components that come together to make a finished probe and other accessories such as cables and connectors.
