Job summary

BBC News & Current Affairs is pleased to offer a Junior Production Coordinator Apprenticeship (Level 4) in Salford. You will learn on the job while working toward an industry-recognised qualification with a BBC learning provider.

The apprenticeship runs for 17 months, full-time, fixed-term, starting with hands-on involvement in both studio and location productions such as The One Show and Women’s Hour. No prior media experience required, just enthusiasm and problem-solving skills.

Qualifications

• Be 18+ by start of apprenticeship
• UK resident for last 3 years
• No degree required for this non-graduate scheme

Responsibilities

• Support Production Management and Business Teams in planning productions
• Assist on location shoots and outside broadcasts
• Help ensure paperwork is completed and rights cleared
• Assist with staffing rotas and staff leave
• Book transport and accommodation for shoots
• Assist with budget processing and payments in BBC systems
• Assist in setup of BBC equipment and access to systems
• Learn health, safety and compliance best practices
