Job summary

Lift Ryde is offering a school-based Initial Teacher Training programme for aspiring Physics teachers. You will learn directly in the classroom as an apprentice, earning while you train toward a PGCE and QTS, delivered in partnership with Ark Teacher Training.

Over one year full-time, you gain practical teaching experience with mentoring, weekly training, and a supported progression into your Early Career Framework. Graduates earn PGCE and QTS and join Lift Schools’ network of 62 schools.

Qualifications

• Degree with 2:2 or above by start; physics-related degree preferred.
• GCSE English and Maths at grade 4/C or above.
• Right to live and work in the UK for the training year.
• Must not currently hold QTS.

Responsibilities

• Gain practical classroom teaching experience as an apprentice Physics teacher.
• Receive weekly mentoring and coaching from a subject tutor and in-school mentor.
• Participate in targeted training modules and a nationwide trainee network.
