COLIN MARSHALL PAINTING CONTRACTS LIMIITED is offering an apprenticeship for a Painter and Decorator (Level 2). Responsibilities

• Preparing walls, ceilings and other surfaces.
• Filling cracks and holes.
• Sanding and smoothing surfaces.
• Applying paint with brushes and rollers.
• Using spray-painting equipment.
• Applying undercoat and primer.
• Hanging wallpaper.
• Removing old paint or wallpaper.
• Cleaning and maintaining tools.
• Protecting floors and furniture.
• Mixing paint and matching colours.
• Keeping the work area clean and safe.
• Following health and safety procedures.
• Assisting experienced painters with larger jobs.

Introduction

The apprenticeship combines practical training with classroom learning. You'll learn how to prepare surfaces, apply paint, wallpaper and other finishes, use tools safely, and work to a professional standard while gaining valuable experience on real projects.
