Arnold Clark Group in Preston is offering an Apprentice Mechanic position. You’ll be paid while you learn and work toward an Autocare Level 2 qualification, gaining hands-on service experience.

You’ll attend GTG training centres for two weeks and continue classroom training in the workplace, with ongoing assessments. The role involves practical car maintenance tasks, learning diagnostics, and progression into a full technician career.

Qualifications

• GCSEs 4–9 including Maths, English and a science/technical subject.
• Literate, numerate, reliable and keen to learn.
• Ability to build relationships with other departments.
• Willingness to work in a practical environment.
• Take instruction and use initiative.

Responsabilités

• Assist with basic servicing and health checks.
• Help with wheels and tyres work.
• Assist in MOT preparation.
• Learn electrical fault diagnostics.
• Document work and create videos to explain repairs.

This is a full‑time role, 39 hours a week.

As an Arnold Clark apprentice, you’ll attend one of our dedicated training centres, GTG, for two weeks’ initial training, and receive classroom training throughout your apprenticeship. You’ll also regularly be assessed in the workplace to make sure you’re on track for success.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who’s willing to learn and wants to advance their career. You’ll need to have loads of enthusiasm for the work and be able to take instructions and advice from your mentor in a workplace environment. At the end of the qualification, there are also some fantastic career opportunities on offer for successful participants.
