Job summary

Arnold Clark Group is recruiting for Apprentice Mechanics in Scotland. You’ll be paid while you train to achieve a Light Vehicle Maintenance Level 3 qualification, gaining hands‑on experience in our Service departments.

You’ll receive tools, uniform, mentorship, two weeks of initial training at GTG Training, and help with obtaining a driving licence during year two. Benefits include meals during training and generous employee perks.

Qualifications

• Must be over 16 and able to learn.
• Strong literacy and numeracy.
• Willingness to ask questions and listen.
• Able to work in a team and on own initiative.

Responsibilities

• Working with wheels and tyres.
• Basic servicing, including car health checks.
• Working with steering and suspension.
• Carrying out MOT preparation.
• Putting theory into practice in the workplace.
• Learning about electrical fault diagnostics.
• Filming videos of work to build trust with customers.

Hours

This is a full‑time role, 39 hours a week.

Ready to earn while you learn?

You’ll attend one of our dedicated training centres, GTG Training, for two weeks’ initial training and then throughout your apprenticeship. You’ll also regularly be assessed at work to make sure you’re on track for success.

You’ll need to have loads of enthusiasm for the work and be able to take instructions and advice from your mentor in a workplace environment.
