Job summary

Coolkit Ltd in Blackburn is recruiting an Apprentice Manufacturing Operative to work towards a Level 2 Lean Manufacturing apprenticeship over 15 months.

You will learn to operate machinery, assist with measuring and cutting, support assembly and manufacture of refrigerated vehicle components, and develop skills through mentoring and formal training. Training provider: NORTH LANCS. TRAINING GROUP CIC.

Qualifications

• Apprenticeship in Lean manufacturing Level 2 is required.
• Commitment to 15-month training with attendance of all modules.
• Good teamwork and a positive, proactive attitude.

Responsibilities

• Learn to safely operate manufacturing machinery, hand tools, and equipment.
• Assist with measuring, cutting, and preparing materials per work instructions.
• Support assembly and manufacture of refrigerated vehicle components.
• Learn to interpret technical drawings, measurements and specifications.
• Carry out quality checks on completed work and identify defects.
• Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment.
• Follow all health and safety procedures and safe systems of work.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues across Manufacturing and other departments.
• Complete apprenticeship training requirements, coursework, and assessments.
• Develop skills through on‑the‑job learning, mentoring, and formal training.
• Contribute ideas for continuous improvement as experience grows.
• Undertake other duties appropriate to the apprenticeship programme.

What You'll Do
