Job summary

CV TECHNICAL LTD in Groby, Leicestershire is seeking an Apprentice Maintenance Engineer to join a busy engineering team. You will work under experienced engineers, developing practical maintenance skills while progressing through your Maintenance Engineering apprenticeship.

The role covers planned and reactive maintenance, fault-finding, routine inspections, and supporting installation and improvements. It offers day shifts, hands-on training, and a clear path to a long-term career in

Qualifications

• Currently undertaking a Maintenance Engineering apprenticeship.
• Ideally around two years into their apprenticeship, with one or two years remaining.
• An interest in both mechanical and electrical engineering.
• A practical, hands-on approach with a willingness to learn.
• Good problem-solving skills and a genuine interest in engineering.
• A reliable attitude and the ability to work as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Support the maintenance team with planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance.
• Assist with fault-finding and troubleshooting on machinery and equipment.
• Help diagnose mechanical and electrical faults under the guidance of experienced engineers.
• Carry out routine inspections and basic repairs.
• Support machinery servicing, installation and improvement work.
• Learn how to minimise downtime and maintain reliable production equipment.
• Follow all health and safety procedures and maintain accurate maintenance records.
