Job summary
Cottons Hotel & Spa in Knutsford, near Manchester, is seeking a Maintenance Operative to support the Maintenance Manager with repairs across the hotel, spa and grounds, fixing issues before guests are affected, and handling urgent requests with warm hospitality. This is a full-time, permanent role working five days a week with some weekend and bank holiday flexibility.
Over two years you’ll progress toward a Level 2 Property Maintenance Operative qualification, learning basic plumbing,
Qualifications
- This role requires organization, focus and a willingness to learn.
- Friendly approach when helping guests and colleagues is essential.
- Training will develop basic maintenance skills and safe working practices.
Responsibilities
- Support the Maintenance Manager with quick, safe fixes to keep guests happy.
- Assist with planned maintenance and improvement projects within budgets.
- Respond to urgent requests from hotel teams and resolve issues promptly.
- Keep stock of spare parts and materials, using them responsibly.
- Participate in maintenance training covering safety and procedures.
- Represent the hotel professionally in appearance and manner.
