Job summary

The Alverton is seeking a reliable Maintenance Operative to support our day-to-day upkeep across the hotel. Working with the existing maintenance team, you will help keep the property safe, functional and well-maintained to high standards.

This hands-on role is suitable for someone with the right attitude and a willingness to learn; hotel experience is not essential, and weekend work is expected as part of the role.

Qualifications

• Experience in a maintenance or practical role.
• Hotel or hospitality experience is not required.
• Willingness to learn and adapt.
• Flexible with weekend hours.

Responsibilities

• Assist with day-to-day maintenance and upkeep of the hotel.
• Collaborate with Maintenance Manager on repairs and tasks.
• Respond to maintenance requests promptly and safely.
• Assist with preventative maintenance and routine checks.
• Maintain bedrooms, public areas and back-of-house spaces to a high standard.
• Identify and report hazards or repairs needing attention.
