Job summary

A leading insurance broker in Penrith is seeking an Apprentice Insurance Broker to join their full-time apprentice program starting January 2026. Candidates will receive industry-leading training and work towards achieving the Cert CII and Level 3 Insurance Practitioner qualifications. Responsibilities include client account management, generating quotes, and maintaining high service standards. Ideal candidates will have previous customer-facing experience and five GCSEs including English and Maths. The role offers professional development opportunities and a supportive culture.

Apprentice Insurance Broker

Role Overview

This is a full‑time apprentice programme with an anticipated start date of January 2026. Over 18 months you will receive industry‑leading training, achieve the Cert CII and Level 3 Insurance Practitioner qualifications, and ultimately become a Client Advisor.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent client service and account management across a dedicated portfolio.
• Generate new quotes, manage renewals, invoicing, and upsell/cross‑sell additional insurance products.
• Use broking systems and communicate with clients via telephone and email on a day‑to‑day basis.
• Handle client queries promptly and maintain high service standards.
• Develop relationships with insurer partners and stay up‑to‑date on new product developments.
• Assist colleague support and complete business‑critical tasks when required.

Qualifications

• Previous client/customer‑facing experience (e.g. retail, hospitality, food & beverage).
• Excellent customer service skills and strong attention to detail.
• Right to work in the UK or Republic of Ireland – no visa sponsorship.
• Minimum of five GCSEs at Grades 9–4, including English & Maths.
