Job summary

GTG Training Limited in Scotland is recruiting an Apprentice Heavy Mechanic in an independent garage. This Modern Apprenticeship offers full-time work while you learn, with block release at a training centre and regular assessments in the workplace to build practical skills.

You will learn servicing, MOT preparation, removal and overhaul of components, electrical fault diagnostics, including high voltage systems on electric vehicles, under dedicated mentors from GTG.

Qualifications

• Must have National 4 or above in English, Maths, and a Science or Technical Subject.
• Full UK Driving licence preferred but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Learn all aspects of vehicle repair and maintenance in the garage workshop.
• Engage in servicing tasks and MOT preparation.
• Assist with removal, replacement and overhaul of major components and electrical fault diagnostics, including high voltage systems on EVs.
