Job summary

Gold Fields invites you to start an Apprenticeship in Mobile Maintenance at the St Ives site. You will gain hands-on experience and formal training to become a qualified tradesperson while supporting maintenance of mining equipment and site infrastructure.

The successful candidate will work a 5 days on, 2 days off roster and live locally in the Kalgoorlie/Kambalda region, with training to back your development.

Qualifications

• Current manual driver’s licence.
• Willingness to work underground.
• Good communication and basic computer literacy.
• Genuine interest in the Mechanical trade.
• Certificate II in a Pre-Apprenticeship is highly regarded.
• First Aid certificate advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Learn on the job and complete training to become a tradesperson.
• Maintain and improve mining equipment and site infrastructure.
• Keep work area clean, organised and safe.
• Identify and report hazards or incidents.
• Support the maintenance team with day-to-day tasks.
• Help keep the site running smoothly by reducing downtime.

The Opportunity

Start your career with a leading global gold producer while completing a nationally recognised Apprenticeship in Mobile Maintenance. You will gain hands-on experience and formal training to become a qualified tradesperson. Support the maintenance and performance of mining equipment and infrastructure, contributing to reliable and efficient operations.

We currently have a role available at St Ives on a 5 days on 2 days off, 4 days on 3 days off roster and the successful incumbent will live locally in the Kambalda or Kalgoorlie region.
