Job summary

Builth Wells Golf Club in Wales is seeking a Head Greenkeeper to manage the golf course, lead the greenkeeping team, and ensure exceptional course presentation. You will oversee budgeting and resource management, health and safety compliance, and work closely with the Greens Chairman/Committee and club management.

The role requires experience as a Head Greenkeeper or senior greenkeeping, NVQ level 3 in greenkeeping or equivalent, and strong turf knowledge with a passion for quality.

Job description

As Head Greenkeeper, you will be responsible for the overall management of the golf course, including:

• Course maintenance and presentation
• Team leadership and training
• Budgeting and resource management
• Health & Safety and compliance
• Work closely with the Greens Chairman/Committee and club management
  We are looking for someone who:
• Has proven experience as a Head Greenkeeper or in a senior greenkeeping role
• Holds relevant qualifications (NVQ level 3 in greenkeeping or equivalent)
• Has strong knowledge of turf management and sustainable practices
• Is a strong leader with excellent communication skills
• Is passionate about delivering exceptional course quality
• The following would be advantageous:
• PA1 & PA6 spraying certificate
• Chainsaw certification
• Mechanical knowledge of machinery
