Job summary

Johnson Controls is launching an Apprentice Fire and Security Engineer programme designed to train you in installing, commissioning and maintaining fire and security systems across diverse sites.

You'll study at Banham Academy, undertake Level 3 Fire Emergency & Security Systems Technician training, and split college learning with hands-on mentoring while travelling to residential, commercial and retail locations as needed.

Qualifications

  • GCSEs in English and Maths at grade 5 (C) or above.
  • Full UK driving licence.
  • Comfortable working at heights and in all weather conditions.
  • Good physical health and readiness for labour-intensive tasks.
  • Willingness to travel and stay away in hotels when needed.

Responsibilities

  • Install, commission, and maintain electronic fire and security systems.
  • Gain in-depth knowledge of fire detection, intrusion, CCTV and access control.
  • Travel to residential, commercial and retail sites.
  • Collaborate with the team to develop skills toward becoming a qualified engineer.

Apprentice Fire and Security Engineer

We have a variety of Fire and Security based roles. Covering Install, Commissioning and Service as well as regional and national travel.

To get on this prestigious apprenticeship programme we require 5's or C's in your GCSE English and Maths. Please include your certificates in your application alongside your UK Driving licence.

What You'll Need:
