Job summary

Johnson Controls is launching an Apprentice Fire and Security Engineer programme in the UK. You’ll cover installation, commissioning and service of fire alarms, CCTV and access control, with regional and national travel.

Training begins at Banham Academy with Level 3 Fire Emergency & Security Systems Technician, combining college learning and hands-on mentoring. Starting salary is £15,600, with 25 days’ holiday, uniform, equipment and travel payments where applicable.

Qualifications

• GCSE English & Maths at grade 5/C or above.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Comfortable working at heights and in all weather conditions.
• Good physical health; job can be labour intensive.
• Willing to travel, stay away and hotel stays when needed.

Responsibilities

• Install, commission, and maintain electronic systems designed to protect people, properties and assets.
• Gain knowledge about fire detection, intrusion detection, CCTV, and access control solutions.
• Hit the road visiting residential, commercial and retail sites.
• Collaborate with a dedicated team to become a qualified fire and security engineer.
