Job summary

Sheffield Futures is seeking an apprentice to support the delivery of property, facilities, health and safety, and maintenance for staff, tenants and guests at Star House. You will undertake the Level 2 Facilities apprenticeship online or at our offices in Sheffield city centre.

An Enhanced DBS check is required for this role. On completion of the apprenticeship there may be opportunities for progression to Level 3 and 4 in facilities.

Responsibilities

• Planned and periodic maintenance of properties and building services.
• Support facilities renewal, including light DIY tasks and decorating.
• Respond to tenancy and partner requests related to Sheffield Futures buildings.
• Set up rooms and conference spaces; move equipment and keep areas tidy at Star House.
• Carry out health and safety checks to support safety and compliance.
• Assist with admin tasks for the Facilities Office.
• Perform other ad hoc duties typical of a Facilities Assistant.

Education

Level 2 Facilities apprenticeship

Job description

We are seeking an apprentice for the effective and efficient delivery of property, facilities and health and safety and maintenance for staff, tenants and guests of Sheffield Futures and Star House.

You will undertake the Level 2 Facilities apprenticeship to learn and apply new skills whilst working in this charity role.

• Planned and periodic maintenance of properties and building services
• Appropriate participation in facilities renewal, such as light DIY tasks, painting and decorating, etc.
• Proactive response to tenancy and partner requests as these relate to Sheffield Futures buildings, facilities, and estates
• Setting up rooms and conference spaces, moving equipment and furniture, and the maintenance of a clean and tidy environment at Star House
• Periodic health and safety checks and provision to ensure safety, environmental responsibility, and legal compliance
• Assisting with appropriate administrative tasks as requested by the Facilities Office
• Other additional ad hoc duties commensurate with that of a Facilities Assistant

An Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check is required for this role.

On completion of this apprenticeship there may be opportunities to further skills within facilities, including additional apprenticeships at Level 3 and 4.
