This role focuses on developing an understanding of cinema projection technology, audience preferences, box office performance, and programming within our specific marketplace as a multi-arts venue which operates a cinema and a live theatre program in the same venue.
The successful candidate will work on projector set up and maintenance, weekly projection scheduling and administration with distributor coordination. Role will also include working with the film manager to assist on booking of certain titles while learning how programming decisions balance audience demand, critical reviews and commercial performance. It will also provide insight into how programming connects with audience experience, hospitality, and the overall identity of the venue.
Work will also include promoting the film schedule to audiences including creating images & trailers, and planning social media schedule.
