Job summary

Worthing Theatres and Museum offers a fixed-term 18-month apprenticeship at Connaught Theatre in Worthing. You’ll learn cinema projection, scheduling, and programming while supporting box office and audience engagement.

The role includes projector setup, maintenance, event screenings, social media promotion, and basic financial administration, with training through Chichester College. Start date is October 2026.

Qualifications

• Minimum age 18 due to Film Certificate ratings.
• Strong interest in cinema and film exhibition.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Test films and create playlists for scheduling on servers and projectors.
• Digitise content and manage servers; liaise with distributors for missing content and KDMs.
• Create and edit slides and videos for on-screen and social media usage.
• Social media posting and scheduling.
• Design film brochures bi-monthly.
• Assist on financial administration and tracking.
• Research film releases and benchmark against other cinemas.
