GRAHAM is seeking a Trainee Estimator to join our Building Division through a Higher-Level Apprenticeship. You will support the preparation of competitive bids and cost plans for high-profile construction projects under the guidance of experienced professionals.

Qualifications

• Essential: pursuing a higher or degree-level apprenticeship in Quantity Surveying or a related construction degree.
• Demonstrate strong communication skills and good IT literacy.
• Right to work in the UK.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing accurate cost estimates, budgets, and cost plans.
• Review tender documents, drawings, and specifications.
• Obtain, compare, and evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotations, ensuring tender compliance.
• Support the preparation of bills of quantities, schedules of rates, and pricing documents.
• Contribute to tender submissions and supporting documentation.
• Maintain cost databases and supplier/subcontractor information.
• Help prepare tender adjudication reports and support bid presentations to senior management.
• Work with Senior Estimators and the Commercial team to ensure accurate estimates.
• Support compliance with company standards, health & safety procedures, and quality requirements.
