AmeyBriggs is a leading provider of asset management and maintenance solutions for the Construction Plant and MHE within the MOD. The AmeyBriggs 3-year Apprentice Engineer training programme offers you the opportunity to become a fully qualified Forklift Truck & Powered Access Engineer. Briggs Equipment Group Engineers fault find, maintain, service, and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems across a range of Materials Handling and Powered Access Equipment.

The Impact you will have:
- Complete the 3-year apprenticeship qualification: Level 3 Lift Truck and Powered Access Engineering Technician Apprenticeship standard.
- Gain on-the-job experience, starting with shadowing mentors and progressing to performing tasks under supervision, then alongside qualified Engineers where your work will be checked and signed off.
- Work will be carried out on customer premises and at AmeyBriggs workshop locations within your specified region.
What will help you to excel in this role:
- 3 GCSEs at grade 4 / C or Scottish National 5 Grade C or above in English, Science, & Mathematics (or equivalent) – desirable.
- Enthusiasm for all aspects of engineering, including mechanical, electrical, hydraulic—e.g., hobbies, work, or voluntary experience, topics studied at school/college.
- Basic IT skills, such as email, websites, and text documents.
- Clear, polite, and professional verbal and written communication skills to work effectively with mentors, line managers, customers, and team members.
