Job description

We have an opportunity for an Apprentice Low Carbon Heating Engineer to join us at SNG (Sovereign Network Group).

You'll be part of our team working across Swindon, with an office base in Newbury.

The salary starts from £16,500 depending on your age and experience.

The Apprenticeship

You will become part of our trade team within the SNG Customer Directorate.

As an apprentice you will be attending college to achieve a Level 3 Low Carbon Heating Technician qualification and working on site to develop the skills to become part of our qualified workforce.

You will work alongside our highly skilled mentors who will reinforce your college studies.

Our renewable heating engineers carry out repairs and planned work within our residents' properties and our empty homes.

This apprenticeship offers hands-on experience in the renewable energy sector, focusing on Air source heat pumps, exhaust air source heat pumps, ground source heat pumps, solar thermal and other cutting-edge technologies.

• To complete the Level 2 course you'll ideally have, or be working towards a Maths and English GCSE

• Our assessment days will take place between the 24th and 27th June
