Job description

We have an opportunity for an Apprentice Low Carbon Heating Engineer to join us at SNG (Sovereign Network Group).

You'll be part of our team working across Swindon, with an office base in Newbury.

The salary starts from £16,500 depending on your age and experience.

The Apprenticeship

You will become part of our trade team within the SNG Customer Directorate.

As an apprentice, you will be attending college to achieve a Level 3 Low Carbon Heating Technician qualification and working on site to develop the skills to become part of our qualified workforce.

You will work alongside our highly skilled mentors who will reinforce your college studies.

Our renewable heating engineers carry out repairs and planned work within our residents' properties and our empty homes.

This apprenticeship offers hands-on experience in the renewable energy sector, focusing on air source heat pumps, exhaust air source heat pumps, ground source heat pumps, solar thermal, and other cutting-edge technologies.

To complete the Level 2 course, you'll ideally have or be working towards a Maths and English GCSE.

You can apply until midnight on the 23rd of May, 2025.

We will let you know if you will be invited to our assessment days by Tuesday, 10th June.

Our assessment days will take place between the 24th and 27th of June.
