Job description

EviosysAerosols Packaging UK are looking for an Apprentice engineer to complete a Level 3 mechatronics maintenance technician apprenticeship and join their team. Through work experience, studying, coaching, training and development (both practical and vocational), the apprentice will complete a course of study and obtain work related professional qualifications, ensuring that they are able to carry out the role of Maintenance Engineer (Multi-Skilled) safely, competently and effectively.

Role & responsibilities:

Working under supervision to assist qualified Electricians in the following duties:

  • Apply the full range of acquired mechanical & electrical engineering skills and knowledge to set up,operate and maintain all manufacturing plant as appropriate to the Apprenticeship
  • Use of hand power tools in workshops or around site, as appropriate to the job and specific training
  • Movement of materials both manually and with appropriate lifting aids
  • Undertake Machine Tool Training during the Apprenticeship and ensuring site cleanliness during andupon completion of work
  • Carry out any other appropriate task as instructed by a supervisor or manager
  • Comply with health and safety requirements, safety legislation and understand the effects of thelegislation with regard to the work environment and particular vocation
  • Accurately and promptly maintain all documentation as required by Company procedures

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • To comply with all Health, Safety & Environmental policies, and procedures
  • To understand and comply with all other Company policies and procedures
  • To undertake a full range of Mechanical & Electrical engineering duties and tasks competently andefficiently with such training and support as is appropriate
  • To attend the AMRC Training Centre, complete course work on time and to a high standard
  • To produce, maintain and be responsible for content, accuracy and sign off of logbooks
  • To progressively take on additional responsibility over the term of the Apprenticeship, commensuratewith the expected level of skills acquisition and personal development
  • To understand and complete all work-related documentation accurately and on time
  • To carry out work in a safe and diligent manner
  • To attend and fully participate regular training and development reviews with Training & HumanResources Management, Mentor and Training provider representatives
  • To undertake additional duties in line with capabilities as required

Things to consider:

During the first year you will be required to attend the University of Sheffield AMRC Training Centre in Sheffield, full time for an initial block of study. You will return to your workplace one Friday per month. After the initial block training you will attend the AMRC Training Centre for one day a week to undertake the knowledge study. The remaining four days will be spent in company learning on the job.

Qualification Requirements:

Advanced Apprenticeships entry requirements

You will need both of the following:

  • GCSE English language C or 4 or above
  • GCSE Maths C or 4 or above.

Applicants are also required to successfully complete a series of assessments at the University of Sheffield’s AMRC Training Centre, as well as an employer recruitment and selection process to secure a place on an apprenticeship programme.
