Job summary

SGN is launching an Emergency Gas Responder Apprenticeship across the South of England. You will work alongside qualified gas engineers delivering gas services to millions of homes and businesses, while training through block-release college over three years.

You will attend college blocks, supported by experienced engineers and managers, with travel and accommodation arranged when away from home. Many benefits included in the package.

Qualifications

• 3 GCSE grades A-C including Maths & English
• Interest in developing a career in the gas network industry
• Commit to 3 years of training and education
• Can-do attitude with a passion for a successful career
• Driver preferred; must pass driving test within 6–12 months if not already qualified

Responsibilities

• Installation of gas meters and regulators
• Responding to reported gas emergencies
• Installation & maintenance of gas networks
• Promoting health and safety in gas service/repair activities
