Job summary

Ladybirds Day Nursery and Pre-school in Leeds invites applications for an apprenticeship as an Early Years Practitioner, with paid on‑the‑job training and clear progression opportunities. You will observe experienced practitioners, undertake planning and record-keeping for children, support safeguarding, and help maintain health and wellbeing under EYFS guidance.

Qualifications

• GCSE Maths/English grade 3 or equivalent or willingness to work towards functional skills.
• Experience with babies or young children is desirable.
• Patient, punctual and friendly with good communication.

Responsibilities

• Plan and maintain children's records and progress notes.
• Support safeguarding policies and daily health and safety routines.
• Assist in activities and learning experiences aligned with EYFS.
• Collaborate with staff to ensure a positive, safe environment.
