MiChild Group is recruiting an Early Years Apprentice for Teddies Day Nursery in Oldham. This supply-based role covers shifts on a rotating weekly schedule, with Early and Late shifts, and a starting pay of £8 per hour.

The nursery, part of MiChild, delivers nurturing early years education and emphasizes safeguarding, development, and strong parent relationships. Training and progression are supported with benefits and ongoing development opportunities.

About MiChild at Teddies Day Nursery

Teddies Day Nursery, proudly rated “Good” by Ofsted, has a capacity of 56 children and has been part of the MiChild family since March 2020. Nestled within the Royal Oldham Hospital grounds, we serve both NHS and local families with dedication and warmth. Our nursery boasts four spacious, light-filled playrooms and a large enclosed outdoor area that inspires imaginative exploration, independence, and safe risk-taking. We champion the belief that there’s no such thing as bad weather—only unsuitable clothing!

What We’re Looking For

• Candidates who would like to train and qualify as Early Year Educators, or you may already been doing your Level 1 or Level 2 qualification and would like to expand on existing qualifications
• A developing understanding of the EYFS and child development
• Knowledge of safeguarding and awareness
• Excellent communication skills, able to rapidly build relationships with children, parents and the nursery team
• Flexible, adaptable and passionate about inspiring little minds

Please note this role is supply based only

Shift Patterns

This role operates on a rotating weekly shift schedule to ensure coverage and flexibility. You will alternate between early and late shifts on a week-by-week basis.

• Early Shift: 7.00am -4.00pm
• Late Shift: 8.30am-6.00pm
