Job summary

MiChild Group is recruiting for an Early Years Apprentice at Teddies Day Nursery, Royal Oldham Hospital grounds. The role is supply-based with a rotating weekly shift pattern (Early 7.00am–4.00pm; Late 8.30am–6.00pm). Salary starts from £8 per hour, with Ofsted‑rated Good facilities and competitive benefits.

Candidates will train towards Early Year Educator qualifications, with DBS checks and Right to Work in the UK required. Full support for learning and development is provided by MiChild.

About MiChild at Teddies Day Nursery

Teddies Day Nursery, proudly rated “Good” by Ofsted, has a capacity of 56 children and has been part of the MiChild family since March 2020. Nestled within the Royal Oldham Hospital grounds, we serve both NHS and local families with dedication and warmth. Our nursery boasts four spacious, light-filled playrooms and a large enclosed outdoor area that inspires imaginative exploration, independence, and safe risk-taking. What We’re Looking For

• Candidates who would like to train and qualify as Early Year Educators, or you may already been doing your Level 1 or Level 2 qualification and would like to expand on existing qualifications
• A developing understanding of the EYFS and child development
• Knowledge of safeguarding and awareness
• Excellent communication skills, able to rapidly build relationships with children, parents and the nursery team
• Flexible, adaptable and passionate about inspiring little minds

Please note this role is supply based only

Shift Patterns

This role operates on a rotating weekly shift schedule to ensure coverage and flexibility. You will alternate between early and late shifts on a week-by-week basis.

• Early Shift: 7.00am -4.00pm
• Late Shift: 8.30am-6.00pm
