Job summary

MiChild Group is recruiting for a Room Leader at Teddies Day Nursery, located on the Royal Oldham Hospital Grounds in Oldham. The role offers a competitive salary of £13.50 per hour, with a rotating early/late shift pattern and full-time hours.

We welcome applicants with Level 3 Early Years qualifications and room-leader experience to lead a warm, supportive team. Our nursery serves NHS and local families with a kids-first ethos.

About MiChild at Teddies Day Nursery

Teddies Day Nursery, proudly rated “Good” by Ofsted, has a capacity of 56 children and has been part of the MiChild family since March 2020. Nestled within the Royal Oldham Hospital grounds, we serve both NHS and local families with dedication and warmth. Our nursery boasts four spacious, light-filled playrooms and a large enclosed outdoor area that inspires imaginative exploration, independence, and safe risk-taking. We champion the belief that there’s no such thing as bad weather only unsuitable clothing!

What We’re Looking For:

• A full and relevant Level 3 Early Years qualification (UK recognised)*
• Ideally you will have some room leader or deputy room leader experience already
• A strong understanding of the EYFS and child development
• Demonstrated, robust safeguarding knowledge and awareness
• Excellent communication skills, able to rapidly build relationships with children, parents and the nursery team

Shift Patterns:

This role operates on a rotating weekly shift schedule to ensure coverage and flexibility. You will alternate between early and late shifts on a week-by-week basis.

• Early Shift: 7.00am -4.00pm
• Late Shift: 8.30am-6.00pm
