Job summary

Caterlink is seeking an Apprentice Chef at Havant Academy in the Portsmouth area. You will work within our catering team to prepare and cook nutritionally balanced meals for students, while upholding high food safety and service standards.

The role offers on-site training, a blended learning programme, and opportunities to develop under our Development Chefs and Craft Trainers. The position is term-time only (38 weeks/year) with up to 30 hours per week, paying £12.71 per hour.

Responsibilities

• Assist with planning, preparing and cooking meals to required standards.
• Brief kitchen teams on menus and service; maintain high food safety standards.
• Ensure health and safety procedures are applied and assist with simple bookwork.
