Job summary

Greene King is offering an Apprentice Chef position within its Community Pubs family. You will train on-the-job through the Chef Academy, learning to prepare, cook, and present meals to meet specifications while absorbing new menu items and promotions.

You will work full-time in a busy kitchen, supported by a mentor and Lifetime Learner Coach, with functional English and Maths development and regular reviews every 12 weeks to track progress and skills development.

Qualifications

• Food preparation and cooking basics as part of on-the-job training.
• Clear communication with team to ensure timely, high-quality meals.
• Adherence to hygiene standards and safety regulations in kitchen.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, cook, and present food that meets specs and customer expectations.
• Maintain hygiene levels and safety regulations in the kitchen to help guarantee the safety of your entire team and visitors.
• Communicate clearly with your team in order to provide high-quality meals to customers on time.
• Keep up to date with new products, menus, and promotions.
