Job summary

Greene King Community Pubs is seeking an Apprentice Chef to work full-time in a busy kitchen, learning on the job and delivering great dishes to spec. You’ll join the Chef Academy with four masterclasses covering different areas of cooking and receive a mentor at work.

The apprenticeship includes working with a supportive team, on-the-job training, and functional skills support in English and Maths, with regular reviews to help you grow into a skilled kitchen professional.

Qualifications

• You will train through work-based learning with a mentor in the workplace.
• Functional Skills in English and Maths with support (if needed).
• Reviews every 12 weeks with the Apprentice, Line Manager and Lifetime Learner Coach.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, cook, and present food that meets specs and customer expectations.
• Maintain hygiene levels and safety regulations in the kitchen to help guarantee the safety of your entire team and visitors.
• Communicate clearly with your team in order to provide high-quality meals to customers on time.
• Keep up to date with new products, menus, and promotions.
