Job summary

N Family Club in London is seeking an Apprentice Chef who is eager to learn to create balanced, nutritious and exciting menus for nursery children. You'll work in purpose-built kitchens and be coached as you learn.

You will learn to cook fresh meals for children from 7am to 4pm, develop menus cost-effectively, handle dietary requirements, promote healthy eating, and maintain records in line with health and safety standards. The role offers strong progression and a supportive learning environment.

Responsibilities

• Cook fresh and inspiring food for our children from 7am-4pm, Monday-Friday
• Constantly develop and evolve our menu, but in a cost-effective manner
• Create snacks/dishes for all children including those with dietary requirements (3 snacks/meals a day)
• Promote healthy messages and ideas around food
• Deliver best-in-class customer service and maintain rapport with children and parents
• Monitor portion and waste to maintain profit margins
• Ensure policies and procedures comply with Environmental Health & Ofsted guidelines and keep records as required by Health and Safety and Food Hygiene Standards
